R Venkatesh, VP of Strategic Business at iValue started the proceedings explaining the importance for each organization to identify, protect and manage their Digital Assets which are key business differentiators to grow the business. And explained iValue expertise and offerings both on solution and services front for this critical initiative.
Gorka Sadowski, Senior Technical Consultant - EMEA at Loglogic was especially invited from Paris to address the gathering. He explained the benefits of using Loglogic solution to simplify log/security management along with compliance needs. Gorka also shared case studies where some of Loglogic customers are using the solution to win confidence of their customers by transparently sharing the reports thus helping them gain more business. He encouraged Indian customers who are catering to world markets to replicate the same to win and grow the business using this unique and tangible differentiation.
Vijeth H S, Regional Manager of West & South at Huawei Symantec explained high performance, scalable and affordable storage solutions to help customers ‘Do more with less’ and ‘Pay as you grow’ offerings in line with market sentiments which is on the recovery path.
Sanjeev Sharma, Director at Parallels India explained how virtualization can help each organizations to cut infrastructure cost drastically, reduce management overheads along with going green thru reduction in power consumption. He explained various virtualization technology options both on server and desktop side and advised them to choose the right option purely based on their need. Sanjeev also shared how Parallels as the No.1 service provider of virtualization pioneered the ‘cloud model’ ten years back! Parallels for Mac solution from iValue was another example of doing more with less, enabling users to run their entire Windows program on Mac, along with drag & drop file sharing between Mac & Win platforms. This cross platform solution empowers users with flexibility, productivity along with investment protection which was in line with the event theme.
On the lighter side, there was corporate magic by Mr. Vadivel Pillai. Mr Pillai had the participants spell bound with some unbelievable magic.
The feedback from the participating CxOs for the first edition of iValue eStorm was very good. According to some of them it provided tangible solutions for some of the critical business challenges faced, without driving a hole in their pocket. As India steadily and surely leads the global economic recovery, with many Indian business expressing ‘cautious optimism’, the event was well timed for the CxO community to utilize their precious IT budget where it mattered, along with using the takeaways to plan for next year IT budgets.
